About Silent Keel
Silent Keel builds software for businesses and runs it afterward: websites with catalogs and inquiries, ordering, customer and partner portals, connections between the tools you already use, and AI where a job calls for it. Everything is agreed in writing before you pay, priced by the day, and built one milestone at a time.
How the work is done
A person writes the specification.
Your agreement is written by a senior software architect and engineer: features and use cases, one checkable sentence each, with the days beside every work item. It is the brief the build works from, and the checklist the review at the end of each milestone walks through, use case by use case.
AI agents write the code, under review.
Every change is reviewed before it ships, and we are accountable for all of it.
Everything in writing, in one place.
From the first reply to the monthly report, your project lives in your portal: the agreement and each of its versions, every comment and its answer, the build as it progresses, the invoices. Anyone on your side can read the whole history at any time.
Your accounts and your data
Everything is in your name from the first day.
Your domain, hosting and service accounts are registered to you, the code is committed to repositories in your name from the first commit, and the content and data are yours. We hold operating access only and give it up the day you say so. Nothing is handed back at the end, because nothing is held.
The data in your system serves your system and nothing else.
Personal data about your customers, staff or users that lives in a system we build or run for you is yours. We process it only to build and operate that system, on your instructions, keep it confidential, and lose access to it when operations end.
The portal holds the project; one person besides you can see it.
The agreement and its versions, the communication, the files and the invoices live in the portal, hosted on Cloudflare. A customer sees only their own projects; beyond that, only the person who runs Silent Keel has access. Sign-in is by a one-time code or Google, so there is no password to lose. Backups are kept for thirty days.
Payment goes to Stripe.
Invoices are issued by Verlox Limited and paid in the portal through Stripe, which takes the payment and sends the receipt. Card details never reach us.
What we send to the AI tools is not used to train them.
The agents that write the code run under our accounts, under terms that do not allow their provider to train on what we send. Every change they make is reviewed by a person before it ships.
Why a day costs $199
Iteration that used to take a week takes an afternoon. A specification this precise, an agent building to it, and a person reviewing the result is what makes a day buy what it buys. We price the day for what the work now takes, so the gain lands with you. The price is fixed once you accept, and an overrun is ours.
Every large software company builds this way now: AI agents write, engineers direct and review, and each year they get more done for it. The leverage has nothing to do with size. A person who knows the job sets the specification and checks the result, and writing the code stops being the expensive part. We think every business should work this way, and where a job in yours calls for it, we build it in.
Who is behind it
Silent Keel was started by Zhanyang Li, after four and a half years at Amazon Web Services on the teams behind its flagship database and its marketplace, and two years building AI systems that run in production. This site, the portal and the system behind them were made the same way every project is: designed and specified byZhanyang Li, built by an AI agent directed to that design, and reviewed before anything shipped.
